Spring Ready Your Home
If you haven’t already done so, it’s a good idea to make an assessment of your home inside and out. Keep your home in good repair – keeping safety in mind and protecting your financial investment. Here are some tips to consider….
…Check doors and windows for air leaks. As weather heats up, you could be losing cool air and increase your fuel costs. Minor repairs with door and window tape can do the trick.
…Indoor and outdoor faucets should be checked. If there’s any drip- drip- drip, you’re wasting precious water not to mention moisture that can be seeping through the back of a sink and can cause mold. Could be a simple wrench twist to do the trick.
…Check decorative wood or siding to prevent problems during summer storms.
…Check gutters and downspouts. Remove leaves or twigs for better water flow. If there are leaks when it rains, you could have issues with rotting wood.
…Roof and attic should be examined for leaks, cracks, buckling etc. and replace them. Rotting wood is disaster in our climate not to mention the little eaters (termites) love this environment.
Contact a reliable Home Inspector. It will be well worth the price to have your home checked on a regular basis. It’s worth having your investment protected.
